Notes + Updates
This work was featured in Spear's Magazine & was nominated for a 2023 Spear's Award!
The goal of this project was unique to me for two reasons. For one, it was a project for the company that I work for that was public-facing, meaning I was able to share it here. Additionally, the project itself was a multistep one – it was not just one deliverable. We sought to create two things: unique and interactive assessment which assessed individuals on their archetype concentrations, and a portion of the R360 landing page which highlighted the the uniqueness of each of the 5 archetypes and celebrated their unique brands.
From a goal standpoint, this project was one of the more complex creative challenges due to the multi-step nature of it. For the assessment, I needed to design a UI that was incredibly interactive, and implemented a “rank-choice” style of answering questions. This meant that I needed to design a layout that allowed for a user to rank each of 5 answers for all 20 questions – and then plan how those rankings contributed to the outcome of the quiz. For the landing page that was meant to highlight the assessment and the 5 archetypes, the goals were less utilitarian – we wanted it to be fun, compelling, interactive, and immersive. The overall goal of this was ot strongly compel a user to want to the take the assessment, while also giving them a preview of the range of outcomes.
Working with a developer highly-skilled in PHP and a full-time team which provided constant feedback and direction, I was able to lead us to an assessment end-product that is highly interactive, intuitive and responsive that has been taken by hundreds of users. For the landing page component of this project, I designed and implemented a scroll-based experience that allows users to explore the uniqueness of each of the five archetypes with minimal effort. Moreover, by implementing a sticky-scroll, we were able to keep the desired user-action of taking the assessment at the forefront of the user experience – effectively balancing the “What’s in it for me?” of the user, and desired outcomes of the scroll experience.
